So, here is an update for the middle of the month, that’s right May is half gone already.

I have managed to shoot some footage for Roadkill but I still need to do more and then capture and check it before I move on with the final F/X shot because if there is a problem and I need to re-shoot THIS stuff there is no going back.

Some other news I guess I can share now, this is going to be an interesting test to see who actually reads this because I am asking nicely please drop me a comment or something…

Yesterday we went yet again to Immigration. We went less than two weeks ago for what was supposed to be the final thing but surprise surprise there was a problem and we had to go back yet again… anyway we went back yesterday with all of our paperwork and guess what!?

That’s right there was ANOTHER problem. BUT it wasn’t a big one and I think, I hesitantly, hopefully THINK that it is all over and done with. I THINK I am now a LEGAL PERMANENT RESIDENT OF THE U.S.A!

Of course now is the time for something to come up and they will revoke it. But in the mean time I will be happy I guess. It doesn’t mean any great change in our lives, it is like having a birthday technically you are another year older but in reality it’s just another day. Having this status doesn’t win me some lottery, it doesn’t suddenly relieve some long suffered malady, it just means that now I can go home and visit my parents… which we don’t have the money to do.

So yeah, I have a 30 or so day wait for the card to come in the mail. (They don’t call it a green card any more but that is what it is i guess) I think I will feel better when I actually have it in my hands.

Sigh anyway, baby is awake I have to run, lots of chores to do today.

I was trolling around online this morning checking my e-mail and getting ready to do some “Work” when I came across an interesting bit of news. Apparently Corey Haim, one of the fixtures of my youth died TWO MONTHS AGO. I never heard anything about it. I guess that is one curse with not currently having TV service and watching all of “my programs” streaming.

The headline today was the announcement of the coroners findings, they found that he died of pneumonia and whilst he did have drugs in his system none contributed directly to his death.

I am a huge Lost Boys fan to this day and it makes me very sad to know that that was the film that got him started on drugs. Goodbye Mr. Haim, you will be missed.

Okay so the big things that I haven’t been talking about recently was that earlier today We had what was potentially our last immigration interview. It could/should have been the end and well I didn’t want to jinx it by talking about it.

WELL… things are still not all finished. We handed in everything we had including an affidavit of support that my in-laws were nice enough to sign for us but unfortunately it turned out that there were a few things missing. Now we have 30 days to hand in what was missing, the problem is that my in laws may not have or be willing to provide what was missing. Where does that leave us? S.O.L. If we can not provide a fully complete affidavit of support along with all accompanying documentation within 30 days my case will once again be canceled and I will face deportation. We will have to pay for everything again and start from scratch… and to be honest I don’t think I would want to.

If we can’t get everything together I think I would rather save my money and selling most of what I own return home to England. Things there would suck (Like they do here in terms of employment opportunities and economic conditions) but it wasn’t until I left and moved to the states that I saw how many opportunities there are in the film industry in England.

Sigh. I don’t know. I have a headache which seems to be growing by the minute - I hope I will not pop an aneurysm, that would just be morbidly funny, the only thing funnier would be if we actually HAD gotten everything finalized today and I dropped dead.
